Thermoplastic [PVC, CPVC, Natural Polypropylene, or PVDF (Kynar)] solenoid valve, [1/4" through 2", and 3” in PVC] NPT threads, is normally closed by design and pilot-operated. A 5 psi minimum differential is required to operate properly. The pilot solenoid valve is to have two (2) primary liquid sealing components, a PTFE bellows dynamic seal with a [EPDM or Viton] poppet seat and a secondary elastomer diaphragm back-up seal of the same material as the seat. Main diaphragm elastomer will be same as selected pilot elastomers, with one(1) million cycle design. The pilot valve is to have Fail-Dry Safety Design, which incorporates a vented chamber between the PTFE bellows and the secondary elastomer diaphragm backup seal. The coil shall be continuous duty NEMA 4X water and dust tight and suitable for corrosive atmosphere. All units are to be 100% individually tested at the factory.
